After taking a class in 2015 that introduced me to oil and
cold wax, I found a new source of energy that has motivated
me and continues to fuel my creative momentum.
The spontaneity that cold wax and acrylics offer is very
freeing and energizing. Continually experimenting with these
techniques and finding new ways to create and express works
that speak to the process as much as the final image.
The many layers, which are also found in our natural environment.
Layers that create a dialogue into its own beginnings.
Creating images that connect us to the beauty and mystery
of nature, and the importance of sustaining it.
“Painting is poetry that is seen rather than felt, and poetry
is painting that is felt rather than seen.”
– Leonardo DaVinci

“The artist is a receptacle for emotions that come from
all over the place:
from the sky, from the earth, from a scrap of paper,
from a spider’s web.'
– Pablo Picasso
